.. I'm so proud.

As some of you might know, others not, this was a long journey. Sometimes in the midst I thought without an ending. And this is just the beginning.

Messiah is out today on comfortzone. It's a Double LP, Coverart by Elfie Semotan. It's just beautiful, to be honest.
Produced by Patrick Pulsinger. We had 18 guest musicians in the studio. We spent days and days and nights working, recording, writing and thinking.


Can't wait for the next.

RELEASE. FINALLY!

sO, yOus,

it tOOk us quite some time. I don't want to count but I know it's been  a while. the Album was finished- and then again nOt, some tracks had to go, others were added, re-recorded, vOcals redone and mixes re-mixed. bUt nOw I almost can't believe it, and almOst don't dare to say it out loud: IT'S FINISHED! thank you thank you. I KNOW. and you should know: I'm pretty proud of what we've created. really really so.

SO: right now we're in the process of MASTERING, finalizing the ARTWORK. shOOting VIDEOS. and all this other funny stuff you do when you prepare a RELEASE. it's a lOt but it's also a lOt Of FUN.

AND: to make the wait a little easier, since it's still going to take a few more months until FEBRUARY and until you can FINALLY grab your own copy of my music (on VINYL!) here is a short Live Video we did- with footage from our very first concert at the Arge Nonntal, some stuff from the Radio Kulturhaus here in Vienna. The POPFEST and some other cool stuff are missing, but you can't have it all I guess and you will get SO MUCH MORE in the near and far future. sO: take this for NOW (directed by Sebastian Mayr):

so I tried Halloween for the first time. since my dear friend Claudia did her legendary Dia de los Muertos Party. and since I dO nOt like to dress weirdly, as you might knOw, I just dressed as mYself.

then: saw the Gucci Ghost and had a terrible headache the next day. met lovely peOple, again and again, sO many on my way right nOw!
made difficult decisions at the Viennale Filmpreis Jury.

and finally: Pulsinger&Irl Album Release Party. already a legendary night.

O. SUMMER. nOw: FALL.

o. it's been  a while. as usual- not saying I am not thinking about posting, just saying that I am not making the time. for several reasons, mostly because I don't have any. which is great, I guess!
sO, this is what happened:
Berlin, exhibition opening of my very talented husband to be. very exciting and exciting and great. show.
then Zürich and Basel, some more art and excitement and interesting projects and people. bad weather, but that's ok. overwhelmed by the swiss corectness. I am too whatever for that. Sometimes I just feel crazy enough not to cross the street on a crosswalk. Yep!
O. And then Greece. Met interesting people and great new friends.

Then a little Vienna, a little Bauernhof with friends and chicken. A 5th birthday. Köln for a beautiful exhibition by Elfie Semotan.
 




And for the last 3 weeks we've been traveling through Texas. YeP. Texas. and you know what? It's really beautiful. And I didn't meet many people wearing a NRA baseball-cap (although I have to admit: I saw some).  Dallas, Bandera (the Cowboy Capital of Texas- Mini Me really wanted to go there. REALLY. wanted. to.). And then Marfa, where we stayed at the Chinati foundation and Tobias is still there. For the next 6 weeks. Missing and working.
Were lucky enough to be at the 3oth anniversary weekend of the Chinati Foundation, had great conversations, ate delicious Tacos and even saw a show by Arto Lindsay. Can't complain!

Ok, and nOw: watching about 100 Movies for my honourable Jury Membership at the Viennale. And: very excited to go BACK TO THE STUDIO to record some new material. very excited for that.
VERY EXCITED.
Attend weddings (so exciting, too!!!). And for right now: take care of sick Mini Me.

MGMT/Booking

dear youth,

finally, and very finally I am ready to release my Album. It's taken a while, but like I said before- it's like giving birth. Or at least almost, I guess.

However, we're looking for someone awesome to take over Management and/or Booking responsibilities.

If you're interested read this:

I am currently preparing the Release of my solo Debut "Messiah" and therefore looking for someone taking over Management and/or Booking responsibilities. You don't have to necessarily have extensive experience in MGMT, I am happy to work with lateral entrants and of course someone who also represents other artists as well.
What you will definitely need though is some kind of experience in the Music Industry and an extensive Network.
I am currently based in Vienna but traveling a lot, so I think it would also work out with someone not based in Austria.

after playing the smallest set-up we ever did at the Theatercafe (thanks again, Vincent, what a blast!), and also having fun, dancing with very drunk friends and making new plans this is what's coming up:
I've been rehearsing my ass off for my friends' ('s?) Maria Gsättners chamber Opera "windmills". I'll perform it together with Willi Landl, Peter Herbert and others at the mdw tomorrow. See Details here.
Since I can't read music (which makes it just a little bit more difficult. really just a little lot more.) I had to figure out my own way to learn it. And I hope it works. haha.

sO. currently I'm preparing a concert in New York. back and again. back and again. and very exciting. if I can, and decide not to pause on this thing here for another year, I will tell you more about it very soon.
also for the last 5 years I've been thinking about installing an Instagram account. Internet granny that I am. still undecided.

getting ready for a summer, fall and winter in Vienna. happy and sad. a little heavy hearted.

The thing is:

..summer is here. finally. welcOme my dear Old friend. welcOME!

and the thing about summer is: you're Outside. a lot. you don't feel to be inside. at least I don't. i don't feel like spending time in front of the cOmputer (although I still have tO)
here is what I do instead: gO Out (a lot). see concerts (a lot). drink (mOderate). rIde my bike (a lOt). drive arOund in cars (sometimes). gO to the beach (sOmetimes).
sO. OK.

here is what happened:
I went to see a couple of cOncerts. there was Pharmakon (she will be Opening fOr Swans at the Arena in Wien. go!). and Marissa Nadler (touring Europe tis sOmmer). at my new favourite Venue: Saint Vitus in Greenpoint.

then I was invited to see Zoe Kravitz and her Band Lolawolf opening for Polica at the BOwery BallrOOm. pretty neat! and also a great lOcation.
sOme lady spilled a drink on me because Lenny Kravitz walked by and she almost fainted. Kevin- Allein zu Haus was also there. but I don't think he remembers. nOpe.

It's 4 pages long already! and I'm not finished. yet!

Does it..

..make me to an internet-granny that I only heard of vine yesterday? and this was also only because I got the Rolling Stone Magazine because it has an article on Jack White in it. so Vine. the new shit. I'm happy that I can (almost) handle this stuff here. no need for making 6sec videos. right now. I guess.

anyways. riding my bike through New York is still my favourite way of getting around. subways in the summer freeze everybody into a popsickel seconds after you get in. don't forget to bring a coat a Stirnband and heavy boots if you want to ride it anyways.
and: going over the bridges is the best part about it (riding a bike).
went to Pioneer Works Open Studios. and to our friends house. and back. and forth.
then: I had a couple of down days. wondering what makes sense and what not. forgetting about good stuff and focusing on not so good. stop it! so: better days now.
just: sometimes it feels a little much to handle. all of the things I'm doing and trying to do and trying to find time for doing. and then I feel lonely. although I'm not. this is just something I carry around with me.

so. so. sO.

..in special phases I go through. I wake up in the middle of the night. and feel really really panicky. about what's to come. and what's not.

I had tO

take a couple of days off. i am sOrry. and i am not. BUT: after a whole Month of pOsting On here every day it really started to bOre me (maybe you? too?) and to get On my nerves. sO I took one day off. and it felt sO good. like not going to school and sleeping late instead. thanks for this! so I slept late a couple of days more. and now I'm back. fOr those of you who know me, or who know this thing i'm doing here: it's happened before. and it will probably happen again. but: i always come back. like nOw.

SO!

saw the amazing Elektro Guzzi twice in the last 3 days. first we met at the clOsing event of the Red Bull Academy here in New York. what a fine night. with great bands. although of course my friends could not be topped. sO. went to a Latino bar were we met John. and a girl who showed me pictures of her gras. as in smOke. and of Las Vegas.
sunrise took me to bed. and Mini Me woke me up to watch him going to the bathrOOm. sO this is what I did.

and then: Guzzis again tonight at the ACFNY. they managed to turn this rather not so Discothekesque (yes. I just made that up.) location into a Club. and when the cOncert was over we all thought it was in the middle of the night. 9pm.
sO: Mini Me got to play the drums (thanks, Bernhard. all he wants now is a drumset of his own. indeed! and very sweet). when he wanted to mOve on to the guitar we left.

and: we're trying hard to leave the city again for sOme days. we need some -space. i guess.
and: i've been thinking about a lot of stuff, lately. like how i want things to be. and which things are nOt how i want them to be. and why this is so. and if I can change it. or if I even want to change it. or if it will change by itself if I think about it in a different ay (I guess the professionell term for this is Mindset. right?)

ok. so stuff like this. it's a rOllercOaster. it really is.
